Simply put, it’s a place to:

Locally Informed Marketplace

The simplest description of the Solution Marketplace, is as a place for you and the people of your community to list tasks and challenges and ask the community to help solve them.

A listing in the Marketplace can take the form of either a Contract or a Contest.

Option 1: Contracts

Think of Contracts as a tendor or request for bids for work that needs doing or something that needs finding. An ideal price is suggested, and people then bid on the work, specifying what they would charge in either Cash, Locally Informed Credits or a combination of both.

Option 2: Contests

A Challenge is posted in the form of a Contest. Who ever comes up with the best Solution wins the specified prize. The prize is either Cash, Locally Informed Credits or a combination of both.

From asking for construction or renovation quotes to asking for some help gardening over the weekend, there’s no Contest or Contract too big or too small.

The right hand column of this email shows you the latest Contests and Contracts in the Marketplace right now.

To get the ball rolling, we’ve given you 100 Credits (Worth $10 NZD). With those 100 credits, you’ll be able to launch your own Contest or Contract for $0.

If you know of someone else who’d be interested, anyone who registers a new account in the next few weeks will also get the 100 Credits.
